It All Starts Here

Passion Leads to Success

There are a lot of books on how to achieve success. Some books tell us there are 3 steps, other's try to convince us there are 10 steps to real success. But when it all gets whittled down, it comes down to just one thing that leads all of us to success in just about any area of life - Passion.

Proximity leads to passion. - The closer to are to what you're doing, to what's important to you, the more your passion will increase.

When we lack passion, we lack direction, stamina, and urgency. This is the reason so many seem to be part of this "wandering generality" with nowhere to go and no exact time they need to get there.

It's Up To You

You are Uniquely Equipped

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord." - Jer. 29:11

There is a specific plan for your life. You're a unique individual who has a unique purpose in your life. You're not me and I"m not you. We both may have a similar interest, but you are uniquely equipped to contribute in a specific way.

Some people struggle with this idea of being uniquely equipped and think "well, if I don't do that someone else will pick up the slack and get it done."  Yes, someone else may accomplish a task but they won't bring into that situation your unique offering to it. They may not push the cause forward in the way you can push it.

Passion Is The Key

Overcoming Adversity

We all have problems and challenges to overcome. Everyone believes their problems and challenges are more difficult than anyone else has to face. We will use the adversities we're facing as the excuse for not reaching our goals.

Every single person who've achieved any level of success has had to overcome adversity in their life. Some of the adversity they overcame wouldn't be very difficult for you to handle, but it was a challenge for them and they did what needed to be done to overcome it.

Don't get trapped in a set of excuses for not achieving your goals. If you think nobody else has it as tough as you do, you just need to experience more of life. I promise you, there is someone somewhere who has faced something much more challenging and they've overcome it. This doesn't mean we don't care, it just means we're not going to accept that as an excuse for not reaching your goals.

Here's the secret: It's not about what happens to you, it's about how you respond to what happens. The outcome of every adversity is determined first by your response to that adversity. Everything else comes after your response. When you respond in a positive way, you set yourself up with a much greater opportunity for success. So, first look at your response to your challenges.

This Week's Challenge

The people who are closest to us are the ones who have the biggest impact on us chasing our passions.

Challenge #1 is to clean up your circle of influence. Surround yourself only with the people who are helping you move towards your challenge.

Challenge #2 is to set up a filter for what you're allowing into your mind. Just small amount of poison will have an adverse affect on your passion. Filter out the poison in your life so you are nourished with positive thoughts that move your forward.
